Class Domain Family Genus Kingdom Order Phylum Species Taxonomy hominidsix kingdom system This is the study of grouping and nami

ng organisms. In the classification system, this is a group of organisms with one or more related species. These are groups of reproducing populations that are isolated from other groups. The second highest taxonomic classification between kingdom and class. This is between Phylum and Order in Biological Classification scheme. Between Family and Class in scientific classification scheme In biological classification, this is one of the most important ranks. It is more specific than Order, but less than Genus. In (Linnaean) biological taxonomy, this is the highest level of scientific classification of organisms. In the new system of classification, this is the broadest level of classification. A higher rank than kingdom in the old classification system. This is the newest classification system with the highest rank of domain, followed by kingdom. There are three domains; one eukaryotic domain and two prokaryotic domains. This is any member of a family Hominidae that consists of erect bipedal primate mammals, including recent humans along with extinct ancestral and related forms such as the gorilla, chimpanzee, and orangutan

Your answers would be:

1. Taxonomy

2. Genus

3. Species

4. Phylum

5. Class

6. Order

7. Family

8. Kingdom

9. Domain

10. Six Kingdom System

11. Hominid

1.Taxonomy is the practice of categorizing organisms and naming them. All organisms are classified into specific groups and are then given a scientific name.

2. Genus is one of the more specific grouping and it is the genus that makes up the first part of the scientific name. The organisms are grouped based on their characteristics, traits, qualities and/or features.

3. Species is the most specific among all classifications. It is distinguished though as the group that categorizes organisms based on their ability to reproduce with each other.

4, Phylum is one of the broader categories/groups. They distinguish the different organisms based on their characteristics also but are not as specific. It divides the different kingdoms into smaller groups. For example, Kingdom Animalia would have phylum chordata which includes all vertebrates.

5. Class divides phylums down into more specific features. For example, phylum chordata is divided further into classes such as mammalia (mammals), reptilia (reptiles), Aves (birds), amphibia (amphibians), and the like.

6. Order again, is more specific. It divides classes into different groups once again. So for example, for humans, we are classified as Class mammalia and then we belong in the order of primates.

7. Family on the other hand comes after order. It is more specific and comes right after order. Again, using humans as an example, our family is hominidae, which puts organisms that are distinguished for their ability of walking upright.

8. In the Linean biological taxonomy the highest classification was Kingdom. In his classification system, organisms were divided into only 3 kingdoms. As technology and discovery expanded, we have added to it.

9. Domain is the higher rank than kingdom. It is the broadest among all. There are three main domains now, we have Eukaryota, Arachaea, and Bacteria. In the old system

10. The 6 Kingdom System is the most recent classification system. The organisms are divided into 6 kingdoms:

  • Animals
  • Plants
  • Protists
  • Fungi
  • Archaebacteria
  • Eubacteria

11. Hominid is a member of Hominidae family. These are species that share about 97% similarity to the DNA of the modern human. The species included in the hominid family have simple cultures and have a capacity to communicate through language.
