Okay so all you have to do is multiply 254 by 3 and get  762.                                          Then multiply 137 by 2 and get 274.                                                                                           Lastly, add 762 and 274 together and get 1036.                                                                    So you answer is 1,036 audience members are attending.

What is the simplest way to explain scale drawings for middle school math?
Allushta [10]

Answer:

The simplest way to teach middle school math scale drawings is to use real pictures to relate to each other to explain the concept. For example, scaling a red ball of 1" to a ball of 2" and so on. This will show how the ball increases by size by adding 1" each time.

Ahhhh i need help again.
qwelly [4]

Answer:

B

Step-by-step explanation:

A. these simply to 21 + 7x and 21 + 3x

  • this one is incorrect because the 7x and 3x are different

B. these simplify to 10 + x and 10 + x

  • this is the correct one since they are exactly the same

C. these simplify to 21x and 7x + 21

  • these two are not the same because one expression has only a number with a variable but the other one has a number with a variable <em>and </em>another number

D. these simplify to  \frac{7}{3-x}  and  \frac{7}{x-3}

  • in subtraction, the order of the 3 and the x matters, so the equations are not the same
  • example: 6 - 4 = 2 but 4 - 6 = -2

Micayla wants the print shop to reduce the size of her painting but keep the ratio of length to width so that it will fit her fr
marissa [1.9K]

Answer:

The width of the frame must be 12 inches (15in by 12in)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

See attachment for painting and frame

Required

Determine the dimension of the frame

To do this, we make use of the following scale ratio.

Scale = Length : Width

For the painting,

Scale = 20: 16

For the frame,

Scale = 15: w

Since she wants to maintain the same ratio; both scale must be the same.

i.e.

15 : w = 20 : 16

Express as fraction

\frac{w}{15} = \frac{16}{20}

\frac{w}{15} = 0.8

Make w the subject

w = 15 * 0.8

w = 12

<em>The width of the frame must be 12 inches i.e. 15in by 12in frame</em>
