Let us assume the first integer to be = x
Then
The second integer will be = x + 1
The sum of the two consecutive integers =185
Then
x + x + 1 = 185
2x + 1 = 185
2x = 184
x = 92
From the above deduction, we can easily conclude that the smallest of the two integers is 92. I hope that the answer has helped you.

A rhombus has sides 11cm long the shorter diagonal of the rhombus is 8cm long find the size of the smaller angles of the rhombus
ZanzabumX [31]

Answer:

42.64°

Step-by-step explanation:

Note: A rhombus has all its sides equal, its opposite angle are equal, its  has bigger and smaller diagonal, diagonal bisect the angles and diagonal bisect each other.

From the diagram attached,

sinθ = opposite/adjacent

sinθ  = 4/11

θ = sin⁻¹(4/11)

θ = 21.32

Therefore, from the diagram,

The smaller angle of the rhombus = 2θ

The smaller angle of the rhombus = (2×21.32)

The smaller angle of the rhombus = 42.64°

Ryan is performing an experiment. He starts with a solution that has a temperature of 12.2°C. He lowers the temperature 5 times
Anon25 [30]

Answer: The equation that can be used to find x, is given by

-14.61^\circ C=12.2^\circ C-5x

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number of degrees he lowered the temperature by each time be 'x'.

Temperature he starts with = 12.2° C

Temperature he stopped with = -14.61° C

According to question, it is said that he lowers the temperature 5 times by the same amount each time.

So, it becomes,

-14.61=12.2-5x\\\\-14.61-12.2=-5x\\\\-26.81=-5x\\\\\frac{26.81}{5}=x\\\\5.362^\circ C=x

Hence, the equation that can be used to find x, is given by

-14.61^\circ C=12.2^\circ C-5x

Andreas wants to estimate how many fish there are in a lake. One day he catches 20 fish,marks them,and returns them to the lake.
tensa zangetsu [6.8K]

Answer:

50

Step-by-step explanation:

The ratio of marked fish to caught fish is 4:10, we need to solve for x in 20:x, since 4 * 5 = 20, 10 * 5 = x so x = 50 fish.
