x = -2 → -3 < -2 and -2 < 4 therefore -3 ≤ -2 ≤ 4
x = 0 → -3 < 0 and 0 < 4 therefore -3 ≤ 0 ≤ 4
x = 1.5 → -3 < 1.5 and 1.5 < 4 therefore -3 ≤ 1.5 ≤ 4
