  6. Evolution might result in<u> </u><u>New structures</u>   when compared to other species, may be <u>Analogous structures</u> if related by <u>Common function</u>
  7. Evolution might result in <u>New structures</u>   when compared to other species, may be <u>homologous structures</u> if related by Common ancestry

Analogous structures have different evolutionary ancestries but they have the same function. Physical features shared due to evolutionary history (a common ancestor) are said to be homologous.  Examples of Analogous structures are the wings of birds, bats and insects. Whereas homologous structures are the opposite. They have similar ancestries and common traits but maybe not have the same function in an organism.

Tiktaalik better known as the "fishapod," is a 375 million year old fossil fish which was discovered in the Canadian Arctic in 2004. Tiktaalik have fins with thin ray bones, scales, and gills like most fish.

What type of electromagnetic wave is used in security pens?
kondaur [170]

The answer is; UV (ultraviolet)

The security pens use UV light to illuminate some marking on an object, such as a watermark, to identify its authenticity or owner. The markings are usually invisible to the naked eye under visible light. The marks are only visible when illuminated with UV light. This is because the marking is made of a fluorescent material that absorbs light of a  shorter wavelength (this case UV) and emits a longer wavelength (this case visible light).
