Tip: Adding zeroes to the left of a whole number or the right of a decimal does not change the value.

Ok, so we need to round 066 to the nearest hundred.
Since 0 is in the hundreds place, we need to look at the number to the right of it (6), and determine if we need to round up or down.

If the number is 4 or less, we need to round down, if the number is 5 or more, then we need to round up. Since the number is 6, we'll round up.

The answer is 100

Hope this helped! If you have anymore questions or don't understand, please comment on my profile or DM me. :)

ikadub [295]
Well first off lets subtract 7 from 11.2, that gives us 4.2 so we know it has walked 1 minute so far...and now we divide 4.2 from 7 which gives us 0.6 so it has walked 1 minute and 36 seconds

What is the perimeter of ABC with vertices A (-2,9) , B (7,-3) , C (-2,-3) in the coordinate plane?
docker41 [41]

9514 1404 393

Answer:

  D.  36 units

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the distance formula, we find the length of AB to be ...

  d = √((x2 -x1)² +(y2 -y1)²)

  d = √((7-(-2))² +(-3-9)²) = √(81 +144) = √225 = 15

The line BC is horizontal, so its length is the difference of the x-coordinates:

  BC = 7 -(-2) = 9

The line AC is vertical, so its length is the difference of the y-coordinates:

  AC = 9 -(-3) = 12

The sum of the lengths of the sides of the triangle is ...

  P = 15 + 9 + 12 = 36

The perimeter is 36 units.
