What are carbon dioxide in cellular respiration reaction. NEED HELP ASAP!!!
marissa [1.9K]

Answer:

Microorganisms such as cyanobacteria can trap the energy in sunlight through the process of photosynthesis and store it in the chemical bonds of carbohydrate molecules. The principal carbohydrate formed in photosynthesis is glucose. Other types of microorganisms such as nonphotosynthetic bacteria, fungi, and protozoa are unable to perform this process. Therefore, these organisms must rely upon preformed carbohydrates in the environment to obtain the energy necessary for their metabolic processes.

Cellular respiration is the process by which microorganisms obtain the energy available in carbohydrates. They take the carbohydrates into their cytoplasm, and through a complex series of metabolic processes, they break down the carbohydrate and release the energy. The energy is generally not needed immediately, so it is used to combine ADP with phosphate ions to form ATP molecules. During the process of cellular respiration, carbon dioxide is given off as a waste product. This carbon dioxide can be used by photosynthesizing cells to form new carbohydrates. Also in the process of cellular respiration, oxygen gas is required to serve as an acceptor of electrons. This oxygen gas is identical to the oxygen gas given off in photosynthesis.

Describe two integumentary system mechanisms that help regulate body temperature.
Basile [38]

Answer:

dilation of vessels and sweating

Explanation:

The vast blood supply of the skin aids in temperature regulation: dilated vessels enable heat to escape, while constricted vessels retain heat. The blood supply of the skin regulates body temperature. The skin aids in the maintenance of homeostasis. Humidity has an effect on thermoregulation because it reduces perspiration evaporation and, as a result, heat loss.

Which of the following is true: a. Nerves are only associated with the periosteum of the bone. b. All of the statements listed a
marta [7]

The correct answer is (C).

Explanation:

 • Tendons are the connective tissues that connects a muscle to other body parts, such as bones.
 • Tendons transfer the mechanical force of muscle contraction to the bones.
 • Tendons are strong in nature which have a high tensile strength.
 • Its strong nature help to withstand the stress which is generated by muscular contraction.
 • Ligament belongs to the fibrous connective tissue which connects bones to other bones.
 • Ligament are also known as true ligament, fibrous ligament, articular ligament.
 • Ligaments shows similarity with tendons and fasciae as they are also made up of connective tissue.

Nitrogen gas reacts with hydrogen gas to form ammonia What are reactants in this chemical reaction?
krek1111 [17]

1 mol 2 mol

84g of N2(g) = 84/28 = 3 mol of N2(g)

From the above reaction 1 mol of N2(g) gives 2 mol 0f NH3(g). So 3 mol of N2(g) should give 6 mol or (6x17) 102 g of NH3(g). But we are getting only 85.0 g of NH3.

Hence %yield of NH3 = 100x85.0/102 = 83.3%

Answer D. is correct.

2. 2HgO (s) --------------------- 2Hg (l) + O2 (g)

2 mol 2 mol 1 mol

4 mol 4 mol 2 mol

As only 1.5 mol of O2 is obtained, so % yield = 1.5x100/2 = 75.0%

Moreover 603 g of Hg = 603/200.59 = 3.00 molof Hg. Considering this also

% yield = 3x100/4 = 75%
