This is how I'd do it. Divide the shape into 2 different shapes, both would have the same area formula A=lw. so shape 1(the top one) would be A1=41*51=_____
The area for the 2nd one (the bottom one) would be A=64*38=______
Then, you just add up the results ;)
Hope that helps :)

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

\text{The yellow area is half of the area of the square minus the area of the circle.}\\ \\ A_s=6^2=36\\ \\ A_c=\pi r^2=\pi 3^2=9\pi \\ \\ A_y=\frac{1}{2}(36-9\pi)\approx 3.9in^2

Which method correctly solves the equation using the multiplication property of equality and the reciprocal of One-third? One-th
Airida [17]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the equation \frac{1}{3}(x+9) = -12

Step 1;

Expand the bracket at the right hand side of the equation to have:

\frac{1}{3}x +\frac{1}{3}(9) = -12\\\frac{1}{3}x+3=-12\\subtracting\ 3\ from\ both\ sides\\\frac{1}{3}x+3-3=-12-3\\\frac{1}{3}x=-15\\

Taking the reciprocal of both sides:

\frac{3}{x} = \frac{-1}{15} \\ cross\ multiplying\\-x =45\\x=-45

stepan [7]
You have to do 5/6 of 8
first 8÷6=1.3 (or remainder 3)
1.3×5=6.5
So that means Alonzo will need 6.5m at least amount of fabric.
Hope this helped!   :)

The endpoints of a line segment are at the coordinates (–6, 3, 4) and (4, –1, 2). What is the midpoint of the segment?
natulia [17]

Answer:

( - 1,1,3 )

Step-by-step explanation:

Use the midpoint formula:

(\frac{x_1+x_2}{2},\frac{y_1+y_2}{2}, \frac{z_1+z_2}{2} )

We want to find the midpoint of the line

that has endpoints.

(\frac{ - 6+4}{2},\frac{3+ - 1}{2}, \frac{4+2}{2} )

We simplify to get;

(\frac{ - 2}{2},\frac{2}{2}, \frac{6}{2} )

This finally gives:

( - 1,1,3 )

The correct answer is A.
