Because of rules of geometry we know that a+b=180 degrees so we can add the equations together and set that equal to 180 and solve
6x-48+4x+38=180
subtract 38 from both sides and add 48 to both sides
then add like terms
10x=170
and divide by 10 to get
x=17

Determine the recursive function that defines the sequence.
Strike441 [17]
<h2>Answer:</h2>

Option: C is the correct answer.

    C.   f(1)=4\\\\f(n)=5\cdot f(n-1)\ ;\ n\geq 2

<h2>Step-by-step explanation:</h2>

Recursive Formula--

It is the formula which is used to represent the nth term of a sequence in terms of (n-1)th term of the sequence.

Here we are given a table of values by:

            n            f(n)

            1              4

            2             20

            3             100

i.e. when n=1 we have:

f(1)=4

Also,

f(2)=20\\\\i.e.\\\\f(2)=5\cdot 4\\\\i.e.\\\\f(2)=5\cdot f(1)

Also,

f(3)=100\\\\i.e.\\\\f(3)=5\cdot 20\\\\i.e.\\\\f(3)=5\cdot f(2)

Hence, the recursive formula is:

f(n)=5\cdot f(n-1)\ for\ n\geq 2

Which of the following of appropriate units of measure to use when finding the mass of a pencil?
lana [24]

Answer:

Grams

Step-by-step explanation:

Mass is the amount of matter present inside a solid. Kilograms and grams are the units to measure mass of an object.

For pencil, the unit to measure its mass is grams. As its mass is less, we can use smaller unit.

Hence, the correct option is (c) "grams"

Juan scored a total of 168 points in basketball this season. He scored 147 of those points in the regular season, and the rest w
Natalka [10]

Answer:

The answer to your question is 12.5 %

Step-by-step explanation:

Data

Total points = 168

Points scored in the regular season = 147

Percent of points scored in the playoff game = ?

Process

1.- Calculate the points scored in the playoff game

  Points in playoff game = 168 - 147

                                          = 21

2.- Calculate the percent of points scored in the playoff game using proportions

                      168 points -------------------- 100%

                        21 points --------------------- x

                        x = (21 x 100) / 168

                        x = 2100 / 168

                        x = 12.5 %
