At most 42% of car crashes occur within 2 miles of the motorists home. Express the null and alternative hypotheses in symbolic f
8_murik_8 [283]

Answer:

A)H_{0}: p \leq 0.42\\H_A: p > 0.42

B)

z_{critical} \text{ at 0.001 level of significance } = \pm 3.291

Step-by-step explanation:

A) We are given the following in the question:

At most 42% of car crashes occur within 2 miles of the motorists home

p = 42% = 0.42

We design the null and the alternate hypothesis  in the following manner:

H_{0}: p \leq 0.42\\H_A: p > 0.42

At most 42% of car crashes occur within 2 miles of the motorists home which means car crashes should be less than equal to 42% but not greater than 42%.

The null hypothesis sates that 42% or less car crashes occur within 2 miles of the motorists home.

The alternate hypothesis state that more than 42% of car crashes occur within 2 miles of the motorists home.

B) We have to find the value of z critical for given conditions

We are performing a two tailed test.

Alpha, α = 0.001

Calculating the z value from the standard z-table. We find the value from the table under the level of significance 0.001

The value obtained is used as the acceptance region for the null hypothesis.

The obtained acceptance region can be written as:

z_{critical} \text{ at 0.001 level of significance } = \pm 3.291

If the calculated z score lies in this region we accept the null hypothesis. If not we reject the null hypothesis.

The Olympic swimmer, Michael Phelps, required 10,000 calories during training. He needed 30% protein, 50% carbohydrates and 20%
ehidna [41]

Answer:

750 grams of protein, 222.22 of fat, and 1,250 of carbs.

Step-by-step explanation:

3,000 calories from protein, 2,000 from fat, and 5,000 from carbs.

3000 / 4 = 750 grams of protein.

2,000 / 9 = 222.22 grams of fat.

5,000 / 4 = 1,250 grams of carbs.

Jake, Andy, and Damon caught 78 pounds of large mouth bass. Jake caught 22 pounds. Andy caught at least 30 pounds, but no greate
likoan [24]
The inequality that represents Damon's catch is
20≤x≤26.

Since Jake caught 22 pounds, that means that together, Andy and Damon caught 56 pounds.

The lower limit for Andy is 30 pounds; if he caught this much, then Damon would have caught 56-30=26 pounds.
The upper limit for Andy is 36 pounds; if he caught this much, then Damon would have caught 56-36 = 20 pounds.  This means that Damon's catch is between 20 and 26 pounds.

*ASAP this is urgent plzzz help me Proportional Relationships
Alexxandr [17]
I don’t have paper on me to solve this but i’m pretty sure you have to set up an equation such as:

2/3 = 5/x then you would solve for x in order to find the question mark.

2/3= x/10.5

and so on and so forth.

sorry if i wasn’t much help! :/
