Ok so we know that a cube has 6 sides, each numbered 1 to 6.
This means there is a 1 out of 6 chance of rolling a side of any value (1 to 6).

So if she wants to roll a 3 or a 4, there are 2 possibilities out of 6 which she wants, hence there is a 2/6 probability, which is a 1/3 probability that she rolled a 3 or a 4.

So the answer is B) 1/3

Hope this helped

Mr. Hans wants to give an award to the student with the best jump rope rate. Linda can jump rope 120
Gelneren [198K]

Answer:

c) Mike receives the award for being the best at jumping rope.

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, according to the question

Jumping rate of Linda = 120 times in 4 minute

So, number of jumps Linda does per minute = (120/4) = 30

So, Jumps per minute of Linda is 30.

Jumping rate of Carl = 315 times in 9 minute

So, number of jumps Carl does per minute = (315/9) = 35

So, Jumps per minute of Carl is 35.

Jumping rate of Mike = 252 times in 7 minute

So, number of jumps Mike does per minute = (252/7) = 36

So, Jumps per minute of Linda is 36.

Now if we compare the jumps per minute of Linda , Carl and Mike, weget that Mike has the best rate of 36 jumps per minute.

Hence, Mike receives the award for being the best at jumping rope.

How to solve Y = eight, X =2 and direct variation
rodikova [14]

Answer:

The answer is k = 4.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Y = 8 and X = 2.

Now, to solve direct variation.

y direct with x.

Now, using equation to solve direct variation:

y=kx

8=k\times 2

Dividing both sides by 2 we get:

4=k.

Therefore, the answer is k = 4.
