Answer:

The acceleration of proton will be 431.137\times 10^8m/sec^2

Explanation:

We have given electric field E = 450 N/C

Charge on proton =1.6\times 10^{-19}C

Force on electron due to electric field is given by F=qE=1.6\times 10^{-19}\times 450=720\times 10^{-19}N

Mass of electron m=1.67\times 10^{-27}kg

Now according to second law of motion F=ma

So 720\times10^{-19}=1.67\times 10^{-27}a

a=431.137\times 10^8m/sec^2

So the acceleration of proton will be 431.137\times 10^8m/sec^2

Having landed on a newly discovered planet, an astronaut sets up a simple pendulum of length 1.38 m and finds that it makes 441
Tasya [4]
The period of a simple pendulum is given by:
T=2 \pi  \sqrt{ \frac{L}{g} }
where L is the pendulum length, and g is the gravitational acceleration of the planet. Re-arranging the formula, we get:
g= \frac{4 \pi^2}{T^2}L (1)

We already know the length of the pendulum, L=1.38 m, however we need to find its period of oscillation.

We know it makes N=441 oscillations in t=1090 s, therefore its frequency is
f= \frac{N}{t}= \frac{441}{1090 s}=0.40 Hz
And its period is the reciprocal of its frequency:
T= \frac{1}{f}= \frac{1}{0.40 Hz}=2.47 s

So now we can use eq.(1) to find the gravitational acceleration of the planet:
g= \frac{4 \pi^2}{T^2}L =  \frac{4 \pi^2}{(2.47 s)^2} (1.38 m) =8.92 m/s^2

How did Orsted discover Electromagnetism?
Liula [17]

Answer:

Hans Christian Oersted began a new scientific epoch when he discovered that electricity and magnetism are linked. He showed by experiment that an electric current flowing through a wire could move a nearby magnet. The discovery of electromagnetism set the stage for the eventual development of our modern technology-based world.

A standing wave is created on a string of length 1.2 m. If the speed of the wave on the string is 60.0 m/s, what is the fundamen
coldgirl [10]

Answer:

Fundamental frequency in the string will be 25 Hz

Explanation:

We have given length of the string L = 1.2 m

Speed of the wave on the string v = 60 m/sec

We have to find the fundamental frequency

Fundamental frequency in the string is equal to f=\frac{v}{2L}, here v is velocity on the string and L is the length of the string

So frequency will be equal to f=\frac{v}{2L}=\frac{60}{2\times 1.2}=25Hz

So fundamental frequency will be 25 Hz

The basic unit of electric current is the
xxMikexx [17]

The ampere (A) is a basic SI unit consisting of the amount of electric charge or number of electrons that pass a point in a electrical circuit in one second. The volt (V) is the electrical potential causing electrons to move through a wire. It is a joule of energy per coulomb of charge.
