total points for the 6 tests would be 6 *87 = 522

total points of 1st 4 are: 93 + 87 +82 +86 = 348

522 - 348 = 174 points for 5th and 6th tests

174-4 = 170

170/2 = 85

85 +4 = 89

5th test was 89

6th test was 85

93+ 87+ 82+ 86 = 348

Angela’s average for six math tests is 87 so 87(6) = 522

522 - 348 = 174

On her last test, she scored 4 points lower than she did on her fifth test.
lets x = her fifth test
last test = x - 4

x + x - 4 = 174
2x = 178
 x = 89

answer
Her fifth test = 89
Last test = 89 - 4 = 85

-8<2x-4<4 solve the inequality
il63 [147K]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The inequality will be split into two

It is know that, if a<b<c

Then a<b and b<c

-8<2x-4<4

Apply that to this

Then,

-8<2x-4. Equation 1

Also,

2x-4<4 equation 2

Solving equation 1

-8<2x-4

Add 4 to both side of the equation

-8+4<2x-4+4

-4<2x

Divide both sides by 2

-4/2<2x/2

-2<x

Note, if a is less than b, then, b is greater than a, e.g. 4 is less than 10, this implies 10 is greater than 4

Therefore,

-2<x

Then, x greater than -2

Equation 2

2x-4<4

Add 4 to both side of the inequalities

2x-4+4<4+4

2x<8

Divide both side by 2

Then,

2x/2<8/2

x<4

Therefore x is between -2 and +4.

If each side of a regular pentagon equals 4 feet what is the perimeter
coldgirl [10]
In a regular polygon, all of the sides have the same length.

Pentagons have five sides. If one of the sides in a regular pentagon is 4 feet, then the rest will also be four feet. 5 sides that are all 4 feet long totals up to a 20-foot perimeter.
