<u>The answer is 80.</u>

-

Written Steps:

1. Subtract the numbers 15-5=10 which = 2^3 * 10x

2. Complete the exponents. (2^3 = 8)

3. Multiply the numbers. (10 * 8)

4. Done!

-

Steps without words. Just numbers:

(15-5) x * 2^3 = 80x

(15 - 5) x * 2^3

15 - 5 = 10 --> 2^3 * 10x

2^3 = 8 --> 10 * 8x

10 * 8x = <u>80</u>

Hope this helped :)

Let r, g and b represent red, green and blue.

r+g+b = 74

r=g-1

b=r+g

Again, r+g+b = 74.  Let's substitutte r+g for b:  r+g+(r+g) = 74.

Next, let's eliminate r.  Use r=g-1.  Then      g-1  + g + g-1 + g = 74

Combining the g terms,  4g - 2 = 74     => 4g = 76   =>  g = 19

Recall that r=g-1
and
b=r+g

Find r.  If r=g-1, and g=19, then r = 19-1=18

Find b:  b = r+g = 18+19=37

So there are 37 blue candies, 18 red candies and 19 green candies.

Check:  37+18+19=74 ???  Yes.

Answer:

\large\boxed{\sf n^{th} \ term =3n}}

Step-by-step explanation:

Find common difference from subtracting any term in the sequence with the previous term.

\large{\sf 6-3}=3

Apply nth term formula.

\large{\sf a_n=a_1+(n-1)d

\large{\sf d=3 \ \ a_1=3}

\large{\sf a_n=3+(n-1)3

\large{\sf a_n=3+3n-3
