Cushing's syndrome is a hormonal disorder caused by prolonged exposure of the body's tissue to high levels of the hormone cortisol. The symptoms of this disorder includes; weight gain, obesity, fatty deposits especially in the midsection, the face, and between the shoulders and the upper back.
