Adjust the declination on yourcompass so the orienting arrow points to 10 degrees east. Dial zero degrees on your compass. With the direction-of-travel arrow pointed directly away from you, turn your body & compass in one motion until the red magneticneedle overlays the orienting arrow.

Answer:

The  magnetic declination is defined as the difference between the north geographic pole and the north magnetic pole.

A map can help to correct magnetic declination and can show the correct way  in the compass. We have to maintain  the declination on our compass in a way that it's orienting arrow points towards 10 degrees east. next we have to set our compass at zero degrees. Now we need to try to adjust or turn our body or compass in one motion so that the red magnet needle overlap the orienting arrow by following the the direction-of-travel arrow pointed away from us.
