Each isotope has a special name derived from Latin (protium, deuterium, and tritium). What structural feature do these names ref

An isotope of any element is the same, with a variation in the neutrons of the nucleus.

The mass number change but the atomic number doesn't.

In this case, protium, deuterium, and tritium are all hydrogen isotopes.

Protium is 1H or Hydrogen-1 is without neutrons.

Deuterium is 2H  or Hydrogen-2 has one neutron.

Tritium is 3H or Hydrogen-3 has two neutrons.

If water were a non polar molecule, how would its properties be different ?
igor_vitrenko [27]
The answer would be C.

Nonpolar molecules cannot form hydrogen bonds that polar molecules can. Interactions between nonpolar molecules are very weak thus D is wrong. And water can climb up inside plants and has adhesion and cohesion because of it’s strong hydrogen bonds.

What similarities, if any, do you think exist between a human’s reproductive cycle and the life cycle of a fern? What difference
ipn [44]

Answer:

Plant Reproduction and Life Cycle. The life cycle of a plant is very different from the life cycle of an animal. Humans are made entirely of diploid cells (cells with two sets of chromosomes, referred to as ''2n''). ... Plants, however, can live when they are at the stage of having haploid cells or diploid cells.

Explanation:

In an animal life cycle, male and female parents each create sex cells (sperm and eggs) that unite to form a fertilized egg and develop into an offspring organism. Plants, likewise, have sperm and eggs in their life cycles, but these are produced by an intermediate stage between the adult and the offspring.
