This means a counterculture is a small group of people that have their features of culture such practices, ideas, and beliefs, but these features are not the same of the ones most of the people in society has or follows. Considering counterculture mainly oppose the dominant culture, the existence of countercultures can lead to social changes but also to the emergence of multiple conflicts between the majority of the people and the minority belonging to the counterculture.
