The given two angles are called vertically opposite angles which are generally equal.

(Vertically opposite angles are those angles which are opposite to each other when two lines cross)

So,

3x + 178 = 6x + 238

3x - 6x = 238 - 178 = 60

- 3x = 60

- x = \frac{60}{3} = 20

x = - 20

Now, for verification,

3x+178° = 3(-20) +178° = 118°

6x+238= 6(-20)+238° =118°

Amelia and Jayden work at a furniture store. Amelia is paid $185 per week plus 9.5% of her total sales in dollars, xx, which can
almond37 [142]

Answer:

The weekly sales must be $12,600

Step-by-step explanation:

if their pay is the same, the equations have to be equal

amelia = jayden

185 +.095x = 311 +.085x

subtract .085x from each side

185 +.095x-.085x = 311 +.085x-.085x

185+.01x = 311

subtract 185 from each side

185-185+.01x = 311-185

.01x = 126

divide by .01

.01x/.01 = 126/.01

x = 12600

How do you solve for b1

A=1/2h(b1+b2)
Cloud [144]
Since b1 stand for base 1 you should find the base and plug in the numbers there’s parentheses so you solve this first so you’d solve _+_=_ usually theres a line going straight with a number around it that’s gonna be your height and your other 2 are the bases

40% of the people attending the movie were adults if 20 adults attended the movie then how many people attended the movie (use a
podryga [215]

Answer:

50

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x represent the number of people that attended the movie.

And y the number of adults that attended the movie

Given;

Percent of adults that attended the movie = 40%

Number of adults that attended the movie y = 20

So,

40% of those that attended the movie area adults.

y = 40% of x

y = 40/100 × x

y = 0.4x

(Ratio of y to x is 4:10 or 0.4)

Making x the subject of formula;

x = y/0.4

Substituting the value of y given;

x = 20/0.4

x = 50

Therefore, 50 people attended the movie.
