Bob needs to save at least 10 dollars to buy that book
he gets 2 dollars in allowance every day
he has 3 dollars now
in how many days will he be able to buy the book?

translation
if d=number of days
then
how much has now+how much will earn≥10
3+2d≥10
solve
minus 3 both sides
2d≥7
divide both sides by 2
d≥3.5
but wait, you can't have 3.5 days, round up becuase if round down you wil have less than $10

answer is 4 days

that is an example, just read it and don't just report it

The probability would be 1/10.

These would be independent events, so we can simply multiply their probabilities:

1/2(1/5) = 1/10.

Need help with question number 10. I don’t get it
Gnom [1K]

Answer: False but true

Step-by-step explanation: This question is all about slope. Slope is rise over run (y/x).

Plant 1:

Plant one has a rate of change of 1 for x. You see how it's going up by 1. For y, it's going up by three, which means that the slope is 3/1, which is three. Three is not equal to six.

Plant 2: follow the points that touch the x and y intersections (my teacher calls them "pretty points"). You see that the slope is 1, because it's going up and right by 1, so 1/1.

Although the measurements are wrong, the statment is true, because 3>1.
