It is easy to write the line "people starve to death"; it is much harder to deal with the harsh reality. But you need to underst

and this point, if only to see how little choice you might have in what you eat. The itinerant poor might literally die in the street. The following examples show how famine hits the Cumberland parish of Greystoke. Here "a poor fellow destitute of succor" is found in the highway and is carried to the constable's house, where he dies. A miller's daughter dies in her bed, weakened from lack of food. –The Time Traveler's Guide to Elizabethan England, Ian Mortimer How does the passage develop the central idea "food was valuable due to the limitations of local resources"? It explains that the poor starved to death as a result of a shortage in the food supply. It compares the Elizabethan food supply to the modern-day food supply. It describes Cumberland parish of Greystoke, where most of the food came from.

Living like Weasels. Make the connect between Carpe Diem (Seize the Day) and Dillard's quote " Living as We Should." How are bot
storchak [24]

The quotes 'Carpe Diem' and 'Living as We Should' are relative to each other in a sense that, both these quote talks about living a life of freedom and enjoying every moment.

Explanation:

'Carpe Diem' is a Latin phrase that was coined by the Roman poet Horace. This phrase means to enjoy and live in the present. In 'Living like Weasels', Annie Dillard have used a quote 'Living as we should' which relates much with Carpie Diem.

In her essay, Dillard influence her readers to live as we are meant to. The author states that humans can learn so much from the weasels, who lives every moment and enjoys its freedom.

Dillard thinks that if a person believes that he/she is meant to do something, then they should never give up. In her essay, Dillard explores the theme of freedom.

What the world would be like if the Nazis had developed radio and radar first.
user100 [1]

Answer:

Impossible to say (READ THE EXPLANATION)

Explanation:

It is incredibly hard to say what would’ve/wouldn’t have happened for events that have passed. I imagine that they still would’ve lost (US would’ve caught up and far exceeded eventually). The Battle of the Atlantic would have been different. Although the British did develop radar first, the Germans used it far better and far more often than the Allies did. Actually, the Germans used a more advanced radar system that the allies didn‘t come up woth till perhaps the end of the war. The long and short of it is the same would’ve happens because the Germans used it better and more often than the Allies until about 1944.
