In chemical reaction, when one component each of both the reacting species are exchanged to form the products then such reactions are said to be a double displacement reaction.

The reaction that occur on mixing the solution of KOH(aq) with Fe(NO_3)(aq) is an example of double displacement reaction:

KOH(aq)+ Fe(NO_3)(aq) \rightarrow Fe(OH)_3(s)+KNO_3(aq)

The balanced chemical equation is:

3KOH(aq)+ Fe(NO_3)(aq) \rightarrow Fe(OH)_3(s)+3KNO_3(aq)

Hence, Fe(OH)_3 will precipitate as solid in the reaction.

At night, an equilibrium reaction between two different nitrogen compounds generates N2O5N2O5 in the atmosphere, as represented
kakasveta [241]

The breakdown of NO3 in the day leads to more consumption of N2O5 in the day hence its concentration is greater at night than in the day.

What is equilibrium constant?

The equilibrium constant is a number that shows how much reactants are converted to products in a reaction. It is often shown as capital letter K in English.

Given the situation described in the question, we know that the concentration of N205 will be higher at night, because the decomposition of NO3(g) in the daytime will result in an increase in the rate of consumption of N2O5(g) to reform NO3(g).

What do we mean when we say atoms bond together?
Delicious77 [7]

Answer:

When two or more atoms chemically bond together, they form a molecule. Sometimes the atoms are all from the same element.

A Compound.

Explanation:

For example, when three oxygen atoms bond together, they form a molecule of ozone (O3). If a molecule forms from atoms of two or more different elements, we call it a compound.

Hope this helps!!

How many electrons would be found in the Ion who’s symbol is I-
Vesnalui [34]

Answer:

54

Explanation:

Given symbol of the element:

                   I⁻

Number of electrons found in an ion with the symbol:

  This is a iodine ion:

         For an atom of iodine:

                   Electrons  = 53

                   Protons  = 53

                   Neutrons  = 74

An ion of iodine is one that has lost or gained electrons.

For this one, we have a negatively charged ion which implies that the number of electrons is 1 more than that of the protons.

  So, number of electrons  = 53 + 1  = 54

The number of electrons in this ion is 54
