D'(p) = -8p + 160

<span>-8p + 160 = 0 </span>

<span>-8p = -160 </span>

<span>p = 20 </span>

<span>~~~ </span>
<span>B) Number of drills sold when p = 20 is </span>

<span>D(20) = [ -4(20)^2 + 160(20) - 270 ] = 1,130 drills </span>

I think this is right, i tried.

That is the vertex
if we complete the square
to get y=a(x-h)^2+k form wher (h,k) Is vertex
D=-4(p²-40p)-270
D=-4(p²-40p+400-400)-270
D=-4((p-20)²-400)-270
D=-4(p-20)²+1600-270
D=-4(p-20)²+1330
vertex is (20,1330)
that is at p=20 and D=1330

A. at the price of 20 units
b. can sell 1330 drills

or you can use the calc way
take deritivive to find where the slope equals 0

D'(x)=-8x+160
0=-8x+160
8x=160
x=20

we know this is the max because D'(15) is positive and D'(25) is negative so therefor at x=20, that is the max
to find the max number of drills, we do
D(20)=-4(20)²+160(20)-270
D(20)=1330

a. 20
b. 1330

Answer:

  b)  2 7/12 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

The difference is ...

  (17 5/12 ft) - (14 5/6 ft) = (17 -14) ft + (5/12 -5/6) ft

  = 3 ft + (5/12 -10/12) ft = 3 ft - 5/12 ft

  = 2 7/12 ft

Two percent of Jennies skin cells were burned when she escaped from a fire. If
andreev551 [17]

1.813*10^{12} cells of Jennies skin were not burned.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Burned skin cells = 3.7*10^{10}

This represents 2% of total skin cells.

Let,

x represents the total number of skin cells.

2% of x = 3.7*10^{10}

\frac{2}{100}x=3.7*10^{10}\\\\0.02x=3.7*10^{10}

Dividing both sides by 0.02

\frac{0.02x}{0.02}=\frac{3.7*10^{10}}{0.02}\\\\x=1.85*10^{12}

Number of not burned cells = Total - burned

Number of not burned cells = 1.85*10^{12}-3.7*10^{10}

Number of not burned cells = 1.813*10^{12}

1.813*10^{12} cells of Jennies skin were not burned.

360*2=720 720/40=18
360 is the measure, in degrees of a pizza becasue it is a circle. There are two pizzas, or two circles. Each wedge is 40°, meaning that you need to divide the pizzas by the size of a wedge.
Hope I helped!
