Answer:
I = 20 amperes

Explanation:
The relation between current, voltage and resistance can be expressed using Ohm's law as follows:
V = I*R
where:
V is the volt = 100 volts
I is the current we want to calculate
R is the resistance = 5 Ohm

Substitute with the givens in the above relation to get the current as follows:
V = I*R
I = v/r
I = 100/5
I = 20 amperes

Hope this helps :)

Please help! <br> Simplify. Your answer should contain only positive exponents.
maxonik [38]

Answer:

\frac{1}{4k^3}

Step-by-step explanation:

It's already in a form that only ha positive exponents.  Just to state it though you could rewrite it as k*(4k^{4})^{-1} or k*4^{-1}*k^{-4}  The question asks for positive exponents though so yu don't need to do that.

You also need to know \frac{x^a}{x^b}=x^{a-b} so in this case \frac{k}{k^4}=\frac{k^1}{k^4} =k^{1-4}=k^{-3}=\frac{1}{k^3}

so \frac{k}{4k^4}=\frac{1}{4}*\frac{k}{k^4}=\frac{1}{4}*\frac{1}{k^3}=\frac{1}{4k^3}

10 1/2 cups of flour are needed to make 3 loaves of bread. How many cups are needed for 12?
Mazyrski [523]

Answer:

42 cups of flour

Step-by-step explanation:

12 is 4 times more than 3 (3 × 4 = 12), so we know that we need 4 times 10 1/2 (equal to 10.5) cups of flour.

All we need to do for this is do 10.5 × 4 = x and solve for x.

10.5 × 4 = 42 cups of flour
