➷ A negative correlation would indicate as one increases, the other one decreases. All you need to do is look at the relationships between the two categories.

It is clear it would be Outside temperature and cost of heating bill and people would require less heating if it is warmer.

A phone plan charges $15.95 per month and $0.10 for every minute, m, that the phone is used. Mr. Kordemsky wants his phone bill
aleksandrvk [35]

Answer:

The inequality that could be used to model this situation is 15.95+0.10m<40. Also, the number of minutes has to be less than 240.5 for Mr. Kordemsky's phone bill for the month to be less than $40.

Step-by-step explanation:

From the information provided, the inequality would indicate that the phone bill for the month that is equal to the result of the fixed fee plus the price per minute for the number of minutes has to be less than $40, which can be expressed as:

15.95+0.10m<40

Now, you can solve for m:

15.95+0.10m<40

0.10m<40-15.95

0.10m<24.05

m<24.05/0.10

m<240.5

According to this, the answer is that the inequality that could be used to model this situation is 15.95+0.10m<40. Also, the number of minutes has to be less than 240.5 for Mr. Kordemsky's phone bill for the month to be less than $40.

What is the solution to the system of equations
Gnesinka [82]
Answer: x=-4, y=-7

Problem:
4x-6y = 26
5x-4y=8

You can use substitution or elimination to solve the problem. I’m going to use elimination.

Multiply by -2 => -8x+12y = -52
Multiply by 3 => 15x- 12y = 24

Add those equations together:
7x=-28
x=-4
Plug that into one of the original equations to get y.

4(-4)-6y=26
-16 - 6y=26
-6y=42
y=-7

Check for the other equation to see if this is true. Which in this case it is. So that’s your answer. x=-4, y=-7
