I believe the answer is: A. Words such as honor, duty, and courage were specifically kept out of the media so that people would view the space program without bias.

Space exploration is an extremely dangerous mission since at that time we did not know what to expect in spaces and potential casualties that might happen to our equipment. Because, media tend to use those words in order to respect the volunteers and gained support from the public at the same time.
