Here the expression is 11 to the second power over 1331 .

Which can be expressed as

\frac{11^2}{1331}

And 1331 is the cube of 11, that is

\frac{11^2}{11^3}

In case of division , we have to use quotient rule and subtract the powers, that is

11^{2-3} = 11^{-1}

Now we need to make the power positive and for that we have to flip the term. That is

\frac{1}{11}

Tennis balls: Must rebound approximately 111 cm when dropped from 200 cm. Soccer balls: Must rebound approximately 120 cm when d
Bas_tet [7]

Answer:

There is no basis for comparison because the effect of the other variables that are not being studied are not minimized

Step-by-step explanation:

The rate at which each type of ball bounce are;

Tennis balls;

The height to which the ball is must rebounds ≈ 111 cm

The height from which the ball is dropped = 200 cm

Surface = Steel plate

Basketballs;

The height to which the ball must rebounds ≈ 5.35 inches

The height from which the ball is dropped = 72 inches

Surface = Wooden floor

Squash balls

The height to which the ball must rebounds ≈ 29.5 inches

The height from which the ball is dropped = 100 inches

Steel plate at 70°

Therefore, given that the experimental are performed with different variables of height from which each type of ball is dropped, the surface to which the ball is dropped, the angle of the surface to which the ball is dropped, there is no controlled variable to provide a basis for comparison

1 (4 x 12) + (4 x 8) 2 4 x (12 - 8) 3 (4 x 12) - ( 4 x 8) 4 4 x (12 + 8)
jenyasd209 [6]

Answer: 4 x (12 - 8)

Step-by-step explanation:

the word difference really means exactly what it is saying. it is the quantity difference between two numbers. like, if someone would say, "what's the difference between 4 and 2?' then you would just subtract 2 from 4 to find the difference between the two numbers.

so, we now know that we are going to be subtracting 8 from 12.

plus, it tells us to show 4 times 12 - 8. that means that we will be multiplying (12 - 8) by 4.

so, our only viable option is 4 x (12 - 8).
