The double of 25 is (25+25), or (25x25). 7 less would be (25+25) -7. Figure out what 25 + 25 is, then subtract 7 from your answer.

25 x 2 -7 = 43.

Hi! The “7 less than” would immediately go to the back because it is subtracting from something. The double means to multiply the 25 times two. You wouldn’t need parenthesis because of the rules of PEMDAS. 50-7 = 43.

Hope this helps!

Darnel needs to spend three days making jam if he wants to jar 15 liters.

Step-by-step explanation:

If you are to assume the relationship is proportional then if he makes 10 liters in 2 days you divide 10 by 2 and you get 5. This means he makes 5 liters a day. Then you add 5 to 10 and you get 15 which means you are adding another day(5) So he needs to work an extra day which would give you three dyas total. Hope this helped!

What is the solution to y = x + 2 and y = 3x – 2 and how do you know? PLEASE HELPPPPP! THANK U!
Nutka1998 [239]

Answer:

(2,4)

Step-by-step explanation:

We have the system:

y=x+2

y=3x-2.

This is already setup for substitution.

I'm going to replace my first y with what the second y equals.

That is, I'm going to write 3x-2=x+2.

Time to solve the following for x:

3x-2=x+2

Subtract x on both sides:

2x-2= 2

Add 2 on both sides:

2x. = 4

Divide both sides by 2:

x. = 2

Now that we know x=2 and we have an equation that relates x to y: either y=x+2 or y=3x-2, doesn't matter which we use, we can find y.

So we y=x+2 with x=2 which means y=2+2=4.

So the solution, the intersection, is (2,4).

Harrizon [31]

Answer:

9 : 1

Step-by-step explanation:

given a linear ratio = a : b, then the corresponding area ratio is

a² : b²

Here the linear ratio of their edges = 3 : 1, hence

ratio of surface areas = 3² : 1² = 9 : 1
