You are thinking of buying a stock priced at $ 96 per share. Assume that the risk-free rate is about 4.1 % and the market risk

premium is 6.6 %. If you think the stock will rise to $ 117 per share by the end of the year, at which time it will pay a $ 1.13 dividend, what beta would it need to have for this expectation to be consistent with the CAPM?

Answer: 3.35

Explanation:

Before we use the Capital Asset Pricing Model we will first have to find the Expected Return using the figures given.

We can do that using the following formula,

Expected return = (End value - Beginning value+Dividend)/Beginning value

Expected return = (117 - 96 + 1.13)/ 96

= 23.05%

Now we can use the CAPM to find the beta.

The formula goes like,

Expected rate = Risk free rate + Beta (market risk premium)

Making beta the subject we have,

Beta (market risk premium) = Expected Rate - Risk free rate

Beta = (Expected Rate - Risk free rate) / Market risk premium

Beta = (23.05% - 4.1%)/6.6%

Beta = 3.34923484848

Beta = 3.35

. Unique Games, a not-for-profit entity organized to provide athletic competition opportunities for high school students, utiliz
eimsori [14]

Answer:

The answer is $0.

Explanation:

Contributed service revenue or contributed revenue can be defined as the service or goods received with no payment or any other kind of exchange.

So in this question, the work from the volunteers and the film from CPA can be all accounted for contributed service revenue.

If we calculate them;

  • The movie costs $60 per hour so at 60 hours, it would cost $3600.
  • The 50 volunteers worked a total of 1000 hours, at $6 per hour, the total cost is $6000.

But since Unique Games are a non-profit entity, the amount they should recognize as contributed service revenue is $0.

I hope this answer helps.

Answer:

Incremental net income from further processing is  $566,600

Explanation:

First of all, it would be necessary to compute profit from selling the product at cut off point and profit when it is further processed in order to determine whether or not it is worth processing further:

Sales revenue                                        $400,000

cost of production(19,000*$25)            $475,000

Loss from selling                                  ($75,000)

Further processing:

sales revenue

Product B(5200*$108)                       $561,600

Product C(11,000*$55)                       $605,000

Total revenue                                     $1,166,600

total cost

cost of production                              ($475,000)

cost of further processing                 ($200,000)

total costs                                           ($675,000)

Profit                                                    $491600

By further processing the incremental net profit is $566,600 ($491,600-(-$75000)
