Hai Hun =^.^=

You see, you use PEMDAS to solve this particular equation.

PEMDAS is Parentheses, exponents, multiply/divide, addition/subtraction. (Or for Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally)

When using PEMDAS you solve everything in the equation in that order, so your equation was 11+5x2+8x1=

So you go through each step of PEMDAS.

Parentheses? Nope. *check that off*

Exponents? Nope *check that off*

Multiply/Divide? Yes! (To clarify, multiply and divide are two separate thing combined for one step. So you just solve whatever comes first)

Addition/Subtraction? Yes!

If it's easier, it's okay to separate what you're working on at hand from the rest of the equation momentarily.

11+ (5x2) + (8x1) =

11 + 10 + 8 =

Now we're at the final stage of PEMDAS. You just add or subtract! (depending on whether the number is negative or positive)

11 + 10 + 8 =

(11+10) +8=

21 + 8 = 29

That's all there is to it! With practice it gets a LOT easier. I hope this helped!

Explain how to multiply square roots
Dmitry_Shevchenko [17]

Answer:

To multiply square roots, first multiply the radicands, or the numbers underneath the radical sign. If there are any coefficients in front of the radical sign, multiply them together as well. Finally, if the new radicand can be divided out by a perfect square, factor out this perfect square and simplify it.
