<span>Why might Alexandria choose a local movie theater when she could see the same movies for less at a corporate establishment? She prefers to support local business, even at an added cost. Not only does Alexandria want to support a local business, they are typically more friendly and thankful you are there supporting them against a corporate establishment. Due to being commonly, family owned, their expenses to survive are higher than those in the corporate world which reflects the increase in pricing for consumers. </span>

Which of the following statements about Treasury bonds is the most accurate? Treasury bonds are completely riskless. Treasury bo
WARRIOR [948]

Answer: 1. Treasury bonds are not completely riskless, since their prices will decline when interest rates rise.

2. Walmart

3. Corporate bonds

Explanation:

1. Indeed even though Treasury bonds have a very low risk rating, they are not completely risk-less. They have a very low risk rating because they will always be honoured (US T - bonds that is) and so that eliminates the default risk. However, they are still exposed to maturity risk as well as inflation risk for the most part. This means that as interest rates rise therefore, their prices drop making them just a little but risky.

2. Walmart issued the bonds making them the issuer. The rest of the names are Underwriters.

3. Since the bonds were issued by a Corporation being Walmart, the bonds are Corporate Bonds.

arlik [135]

Answer:

1) AGI = $112,400

2) Taxable Income = $80,600

Explanation:

Ed's Salary = $35,000

Jane's Salary = $70,000

Municipal bond interest income = $400

Qualified business income = $1,000

Alimony paid (for AGI deduction) = $7,000

Real property tax (from AGI deduction) = $10,000

Charitable contributions (from AGI) = $15,000

The total gross income for Jane and Ed = $70,000 + $35,000 = $105,000

1) Their AGI (Adjusted Gross Income) = $105,000  + $400 + $7,000 = $112,400

2)Their taxable income = $112,400 - $24400 - $7000 - $400 = $80,600

When Production is Equal to Sales

Explanation:

The Variable Costing and The Absorption Costing Differ in two aspects. That is the Accumulation of Product Costs and the Accumulation of Period Costs.

<u>Product Costs</u>

Variable Costing = Direct Labor + Direct Materials + Variable Overheads

                            = $ 60 + $40 + $ 30

                            = $130

Absorption Costing = Direct Labor + Direct Materials + Variable Overheads + <em>Fixed Manufacturing Overheads</em>

<em>                                  = </em>$ 60 + $40 + $ 30 + $70

                                 = $200

<u>Periodic Cost</u>

Variable Costing = <em>Fixed Manufacturing Overheads + </em>Non- Manufacturing Overheads

Absorption Costing = <em> </em>Non- Manufacturing Overheads

<u>Units of Closing Stock Calculation :</u>

Production - Sales
