A mutation in human ATPase 6 from leucine to arginine at position 156 may allow the movements of protons across the membrane, but not rotating of the ring of c subunits.

This possible mechanism affect the function of ATP synthase because there would be an uncoupling of proton translocation and ATP synthesis. ATP synthase would remain sensitive to F0 proton conduction inhibitors

How long does novocaine take to wear off?
Inessa05 [86]
Novocaine is a logal anesthetic agent which is commonly used during dental procedures or other oral processes. This causes numbness of the infected area so that the patients will not feel the pain. This is a local name for procaine which was discovered by the German chemist named Alfred Einhorn in 1905.

The duration to which we expect the numbness varies to the different factors. The factors include the location of the application, the area, concentration, and presence of other anesthetic chemical. It is expected at least that novocaine will last for 1.5 to 3 hours.

When a motor neuron and the skeletal muscle cell it innervates are at rest:?
Nuetrik [128]

Particularly the skeletal muscles at rest gain most of their energy from the aerobic respiration of fatty acids. Hence fatty acids provide the majority of the energy for muscle metabolism when a person is exercising at 25% of VO2max. However, the motor neuron is at rest when a neuron is not receiving any input there will be a potential difference. Thus, the potential difference measured when the neuron is inactive and it is caled the resting membrane potential.
