Archaeologists found the first archaeological evidence of agriculture in the shores of Galilee. It was about the estimate of eleven thousand years ago that the first known attempt of agriculture. More than a hundred fifty thousand plants were recovered and studied.<span />
The river Nile branches spread out in a V-shaped fan and make their way towards the Mediterranean through Lower Egypt. The Delta begins north of Cairo. In ancient times the Nile flood deposited layers of silt in this area, making the deltaic fan expand from east to west and push out into the sea.
