Answer:

1 Quarter is one fourth of Dollar.

And, 1 Dime is one tenth of Dollar.

Number of Coins in Ben's Bag=15 coins

Number of Quarters=7

So, number of Dimes

=15-7=8

Total amount in Dollars

   =\frac{1}{4}\times7+\frac{1}{10}\times8\\\\=\frac{7}{4}+\frac{8}{10}\\\\=1.75+0.80\\\\=2.55$

In Words=Ratio of $2.55 to 7 Quarters that is $1.75 will be ?

Ratio in two different ways

   \rightarrow \frac{2.55\text{Dollars}}{1.75\text{Dollars}}=\frac{51}{35}=\frac{102}{70}

There are two parts in the given collection. One contains quarters and other contains dimes.

Let's compare the whole coin collection to the quarters.

One way to represent the ratio is 15 : 7.

The other way is \frac{15}{7}

Answer:

shirts = 15 when pants = 6

15

Step-by-step explanation:

Try two others that are given

shirts / pants = 10 / 4 = 2.5

shirts / pants = 30/12 = 2.5

So shirts/pants = 2.5 = x/6

2.5 = x / 6                            Multiply by 6

2.5 * 6 = x

x = 15
