Including the bus driver, there are 20 people on a bus. During a one-hour ride, each person produces 740 BTUs (British Thermal U

nits). The interior of the bus measures 38 feet by 8.25 feet by 7.5 feet. How many BTUs per cubic foot are produced? Enter your answer, rounded to the nearest hundredth, in the box.

740*20=14800

38*8.25*7.5=2351.25

14800/2351.25=6.294524189

Since the question requires you to round to the nearest hundredth, the answer would become 6.29.

Alright, so this one is a bit tricky.

You take your bus interior and multiply them all together to find the volume.
     38 x 8.25 x 7.5 = 2,351.25
Now, you take your 740 BTU and divide by the amount of people (20)
     740/20 = 37
So now you divide your volume by the 37
     2351.25/37 = 63.55

63.55 f^3 is your answer.

vova2212 [387]

Answer:

The margin of error for the 99% confidence level for this sample is ±2.23.

None of the given figures is close to the answer:

E. None of the above

Step-by-step explanation:

margin of error (ME) around the mean can be calculated using the formula

ME=\frac{z*s}{\sqrt{N} } where

  • z is the corresponding statistic of the 99% confidence level (2.576)
  • s is the population IQ standard deviation (15)
  • N is the sample size (300)

Using these numbers we get:

ME=\frac{2.576*15}{\sqrt{300} }  ≈ 2.23
