The answer

9x + 4y = 36           (times 2) implies      18x + 8y = 72     (a)

6x + 2.5y = 24        (times -3) imiplies    18x + 7.5y =72   (b)

so (a) - (b)            8-7.5)y=0, and y=0

when y=o  18x + 8. 0= 72 implies x =4

so the solution is (4,0)

After multiplying by the stated coefficients and adding, the equation obtained is:
8y - 7.5y = 0
y = 0
x = 4

Because the two equations formed were independent, they had one solution.

Dimas [21]

Answer:

12

Step-by-step explanation:

x = 2n

2n + 2n + 2 + 2n + 4 + 2n + 6 + 2n + 8 = 80

10n = 60

n = 6

x = 12

12 + 14 + 16 + 18 + 20 = 80

Edward deposited $7,000 into a savings account 4 years ago. The simple interest rate is 5%. How much
Oliga [24]

answer: $1,440

explanation: here’s the equation with the values in this case

>> interest = 7,000 x 0.05 x 4

after multiplying, you get 1,440, which is the simple interest

**tip: turn the rate/percent into a decimal, then multiply

The environment club is selling indoor herbs gardens for Earth Day. Each member is encouraged to sell at least 10 gardens. You s
Ad libitum [116K]
The inequality is looking for a value of "at least 10" gardens. This means something "greater than or equal to" 10 (>=10). After selling 3 on Monday plus 4 on Tuesday, this leaves "x" to be sold to reach the goal. By setting this on the same side as the 7, we can create the inequality to find out how many more are needed, at minimum, to reach our stated goal: 7 + x >= 10, which, when subtracting the 7 out from both sides of the inequality, leaves x >= 3 gardens.

The cost per purse is $17 each to make, and she sells them for $35 each. This Saturday, she is renting a booth at a craft fair f
klasskru [66]

T = Total income

N = Number of purses

35N = the selling price of each purse

17N = Cost of each purse

T = 35*N - 17*N - 75

T = 18N - 75

If she wants here total income to be 350 dollars, it will take

T = 350 ; N = unknown.

350 = 18N - 75 Add 75 to both sides.

350 + 75 = 18N

425 = 18N

Rounded N = 24 <<<< Answer. The actually number is 23.611 but you can't sell 0.611 of a purse.

There is a high-speed rail track between London and Manchester.
Keith_Richards [23]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

this is the famous dirt formula, :P I made it up :D

D=rt ( notice it looks like Dirt , kinda, but it also means it dirt simple )

D= distance

r = rate ( think speed or how fast)

t = time ( in what ever units of time you want to use, seconds, minutes, hours )

13:28 - 11:20 = 128 minutes ( b/c the question is asking in MPH convert to hours)   2.4666667 hours

210 miles =  r * 2.46666667

210 / 2.46666667 = r ( in MPH) ( does anyone else find it odd that they are saying miles in London instead of kilometers? :/ )

85.135 MPH = rate

so no, not even close to 104 MPH :/
