The correct answers are B and E.

B- Dummies were successfully used as distractors to the Germans.

A small group of members of the British Special Air Service dropped camouflaged dummies on the French towns of Le Havre and Isigny, which induced the Nazis to believe that there had been another airborne assault there.

E- The U.S. military fought with Allied Powers.

The Battle of Normandy was the military operation carried out by the Allies, mainly United States, Great Britain and Canada, during World War II that culminated with the liberation of the territories of the Western Europe occupied by the Nazi Germany. The operation began on June 6, 1944, better known as D-Day, with the landing of Normandy: one hundred and sixty thousand soldiers crossed the English Channel to England and towards the end of August the allied troops on French soil were more than three million.

raketka [301]

Answer:

It is your decision on if it is right, but I will give insight on the very basics of how our government deals with power distribution and why. And a touch of opinion. Happy New Year!

Explanation:

Giving the president the power of executive authority would make our government the same as a dictatorial one. That is one of the main reasons our government has 3 branches, it’s a checks and balances system that keeps those in power relying on each other to make decisions. The question of if it is right that a president should or shouldn’t have executive authority has raged on every since America first considered becoming independent from Britain, but based on the numerous times a British monarch given executive authority abused it, we can guess the same thing could easily happen with our president. At the very least a president should not have full freedom in passing policies, but the real difficult question is “To what extent should a president be able to pass policies, and congress oversee the affairs of the president?” This question applies to not just the president and Congress, but also the judicial branch and state governments. It’s a tough question.

What social groups were not being respected by the Enlightenment philosophes and why?
blsea [12.9K]

Answer:

The social critics of the enlightenment in France were called philosophes. Five concepts formed the core of their beliefs: reason, nature, happiness, progress, and liberty. François Marie Arouet, under the pen name Voltaire, was one of the most brilliant and influential philosophers.

He feared religion could become a source of civil war. ... Enlightenment thinkers wanted to improve human conditions on earth rather than concern themselves with religion and the afterlife. These thinkers valued reason, science, religious tolerance, and what they called “natural rights”—life, liberty, and property.
