Why do some historians argue that the treaty of versailles ended up leading to world war ii?

History

The harsh terms of the Treaty of Versailles put Germany in a situation that allowed the rise of Hitler and the Nazis, leading to World War II.

The Treaty of Versailles, which came out of the Paris Peace Conference in 1919, was very punitive towards Germany. Germany was forced to admit responsibility for causing the Great War (World War I). We now call that "the war guilt" clause of the treaty. Germany also was forced to pay large reparation payments to the Allies (who opposed Germany in the war). The German economy and national pride were deeply wounded. The Great Depression was worse in Germany than in America. The bad situation in Germany made it possible for a radical leader like Hitler, making all sorts of bold promises, to win over enough people to rise to power. Hitler promised a return to national greatness and fiercely rebuilt Germany as a military machine.

What ethic group did the immigration laws of the 1800's and early 900's discriminate against ?
Ghella [55]

During the 1800s and early 1900s various ethnic groups were restricted from immigrating. Mainly asian (and specifically chinese) people were discriminated against. The Exclusion Act of 1882 is considered by many historians to be the first explicit exclusionary immigration restriction made to one particular nationality in its entirety. Immigration of chinese laborers was prohibited right then. This was largely the result of racial prejudice from the American people and their authorities.

Who would most likely support the state of Maryland's position in the Supreme Court case of McCulloch vMaryland?
Bond [772]
Maryland (1819) is one of the first and most important Supreme Court cases on federal power. In this case, the Supreme Court held that Congress has implied powers derived from those listed in Article I, Section 8. The “Necessary and Proper” Clause gave Congress the power to establish a national bank.
