Peripheral neuropathy disorders are adverse conditions brought about by damage  or destruction of the nerves of the peripheral nervous system.

Damage of these nerves  can be due to many  causes such as diseases e.g.  diabetes, alcoholism , malnutrition, injury, nerve compression, auto immune or infectious inflammation  and exposure to certain chemicals.

Once damaged the nerves malfunction. They might not send  any pain signals even if something is  causing harm to the body, or they may send signals of pain when there is nothing at all causing pain,

Examples of these disorders include:

1. Diabetes induced nerve damage

2. Carpal tunnel syndrome

mrs_skeptik [129]

Answer:

The statement that requires nursing teaching is My doctor said to take ibuprofen for my aches and pain

Explanation:

Ibuprofen is a Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) that worsens peptic ulcer disease (PUD). Since the doctor had already prescribed it for the patient, the required nursing teaching would be to take the medication on a full stomach as it may improve tolerability. The patient should also avoid peppery foods and sitting up immediately after eating. This will help reduce the aches and pains caused by the disease.

What structure is found in the brain?
maw [93]

Answer:

A brain ventricle is a cavity in the brain with an open channel leading to it.

Explanation:

The brain and spinal cord are encased and protected by three layers of tissue, all called meninges. The outermost layer is called the dura mater, and covers both the brain and spinal cord. On either side of this layer, where it crosses or penetrates into these organs, are two extensions that look like small tubes coming from under a tent. These extensions are called cranial nerves because they come out on either side of the head just below its most prominent part - hence "cranial".
