You add 3.5 to both sides to get rid of it. Then you have 16=2g, you divide 2 from both sides and get g=8

<em>Greetings from Brasil...</em>

Before comparing mixed fractions, let's make them inappropriate

2 1/2 = 5/2

3 1/3 = 10/3

Comparing fractions. (MMC - Maximum Common Multiple -<em> I don't know that term in English</em>)

2 1/2 = 5/2 = 15/6

3 1/3 = 10/3 = 30/6

30/6 > 15/6  then

<h2>3 1/3 > 2 1/2</h2>

The wight ration of Grapes to Oranges is 4 : 2

Therefore, he bought Oranges of \frac{12 \times 2}{4} =6 lbs

Again, the weight ratio of Cantaloupe to Apples is 3 : 4
