Massive globalization and further increases in technology, during this time the Cold War has begun so competing for superior tech led to advancements in Military Technology which was then converted for Civilian use, so overall technology was vastly improved as well living condition for the average American. More wars were fought for the idea of “Balance of Power” such as the Korean War and Vietnam, mainly a way to protect and spread capitalism. Patriotism was also more wide spread than ever.

One result of the invention of the. Was the increased speed of communication from one area to another far away.
erastovalidia [21]

Answer:

<h2>Telegraph</h2>

Explanation:

Telegraph is the answer I would suggest, as that was the first invention that greatly accelerated the speed of communication.  Following that came the telephone, and then after that, cell phones and  the Internet.  All of these communication tools have accelerated the rate and amount of global communication.  But the first step in that direction was the telegraph.

The telegraph was developed in the first part of the 19th century by Samuel Morse and other inventors.   Morse also developed a code (which has been named after him) for communicating messages via short and long   electronic signals over telegraph wires.   Morse sent his first telegraph message in 1844.  By 1866 telegraph lines had been laid across the Atlantic Ocean for communication between the USA and Europe.

As summarized by the <em>History Channel, "</em>The telegraph revolutionized long-distance communication. ... Although the telegraph had fallen out of widespread use by the start of the 21st century, replaced by the telephone, fax machine and Internet, it laid the groundwork for the communications revolution that led to those later innovations."

Why did Spain explore the New World?
sergejj [24]

Spain did not immediately realize that the New World was in fact a new continent. Columbus himself died without ever knowing that the land he had arrived to was not India.

However, when Spain realized that this land was completely undiscovered, they decided to explore it. This was motivated by several reasons. On the one hand, they were curious to see what the territory was like. On the other hand, they were also motivated by the possibility of owning such a vast territory and the resources located in it. Finally, they were motivated by the idea of turning the Native American people they encountered into Christians, thus achieving their salvation.
