These include Issac Newton with his telescope. He believed that light acts like particles, so he used that information to his construction of his telescope. Other examples are Galileo's refracted telescope. Using light to act like a wave. However, Newton did improve his design. His images would be distorted when looking into outer space.

Newton also discovered gravity and made laws with an apple falling on his head. In addition, he also established laws of motion. It is the three laws that apply to our everyday lives.

Finally, another example is Christian Huygens who believes that light would act like a wave for diffraction and refraction.
