Capucine played a game where she earned 179 points from building 11 museums and 4 libraries. She earns 4 more points per museum

than per library. How many points does Capucine earn for each thing she builds?

Let the points Capucine earned in library be l and the points she earned in museum be m.

So, 4l + 11m = 179        (1)

She earns 4 more points per museum than per library.

m = l + 4

Substitute the value of m in (1), we get,

4l + 11(l + 4) = 179

4l + 11l + 44 = 179

15l + 44 = 179

15l = 179 - 44

15l = 135

l = 9

m = l + 4

   = 9 + 4

   = 13

Hence, Capucine earns 9 points in building a library and 13 points in building a museum.

If Jane's shirt cost 20$, but she has a 15% off coupon, what is her cost before tax
Readme [11.4K]

Answer:

17

Step-by-step explanation:

The discount on the shirt is 15%

Discount = price* discount rate

               = 20 * 15%

               = 20 * .15

                =3

The new price is the previous price minus the discount

new price = 20-3

new price = 17

Find x round. your answer to the nearest tenth of a degree
Juli2301 [7.4K]

Answer:

x = 55.6

Step-by-step explanation:

Recall the 3 main trig functions

Sin = opposite / hypotenuse

Cos = adjacent / hypotenuse

Tan = opposite / adjacent

Note that hypotenuse = longest side length

We want to find angle "x".

We are given its opposite side length ( 19 ) as well as the adjacent side length

When dealing with the opposite and adjacent we use tan

Tan = Opp / Adj

Opp = 19 and Adj = 13

Tan(x) = 19/13

* take the inverse tan of both sides *

x = 55.6

Write out the equation: The difference of a number m and 30 is 10
inna [77]
M-30=10
It could also be 30-m=10
The answer for the first one would be 10+30=m
m=40
The answer for the second one would be 30-10=m
m=20

Hope this helps :)
