Answer:2.5 cups

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Rosanne runs 6 miles in an hour

If she drinks 0.5 cups of water every  \frac{1}{3}  of an hour

So in 1 hour Rosanne drinks 1.5 cups

So, for 6 miles Rosanne drinks 1.5 cups

i.e. For   1\ mile \quad \equiv \quad \frac{1}{4}\ \text{cup}

for    10\ mile\quad \equiv \quad \frac{10}{4}\ \text{cup}

=2.5\ \text{cup}

1/3x+2=3/4 how would I go about solving this???
Marizza181 [45]

Answer combine 1/2 and x.

X/2+2/3=1/6

Subtract 2/3 from both sides of the equation

X/2=1/6-2/3

Simplify the right side of the equation

-2/3 as a fraction with a common denominator, multiply by 2/2

X/2=1/6-2/3 x 2/2

Multiply 3 by 2

X/2 = 1/6 - 2/6 x 2

Combine the numerators over the common denominator

X/2 = 1-2 x2/ 6

Simplify the numerator

Multiply by -2 by 2

X/2 =1-4/6

Subtract 4 from 1

X/2= -3/6

Cancel the common factor of -3 and 6

Factor 3 out of -3

X/2 = 3(-1)/6

Cancel the common factor of 6

X/2 = 3 .-1/3.2

Rewrite the expression

X/2 = -1/2

Move the negative in front of the fraction

X/2= -1/2

Since both sides have the same Denominator the numerators must be equal.

X=-1

What is the slope intercept equation of the line below
shtirl [24]

Answer:

y = 2x - 3

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1: Remember the equation

The slope intercept form is y = mx + b where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept

Step 2: Solve

We can see the y-intercept(where the line crosses the y axis) is at y = -3

We know slope is \frac{rise}{run} so we can see for every 1 square it moves right it moves 2 up so the slope would be \frac{2}{1}or 2

Plug what we know into the equation

y=2x-3

Step 3: Therefore Statement

Therefore the equation of the line shown below is y = 2x - 3
