Anything that have multiples of 6 and 5

so, if you were to multiply 6 by 2 and 5 by 2 to get 12:10, that is a ratio proportional to 6:5

So, if you multiply any same number to 6 and 5, the ratio should be proportional

luda_lava [24]
Your final equation would be 3(x+1)= 3x+3 because if you do 3 times x you get 3x so if you do 3 times 1 you get 3 making the equation have infinite solutions.

The final answer is: 3(x+1)= 3x+3 for an infinite number of solutions.

A woman has twice as many dimes as quarters in her purse. If the dimes were quarters and the quarters were dimes, she would have
Digiron [165]
If x = # of quarters, then, the # of dimes will be equal to 2x. The total value (z) would be equal to:

z = 0.25x + 0.10(2x)

Then, since you switch the quarters and the dimes, and you have a new total, the resulting equation will be:

1.2 + z = 0.25(2x) + 0.10(x)

Plug in the values you know:

1.2 + (0.25x + 0.10(2x)) = 0.25(2x) + 0.10(x)

Solve for x:

1.2 + (0.25x + 0.20x) = 0.50x + 0.10x
1.2 + 0.45x = 0.60x
1.2 = 0.15x
x = 1.2/0.15 = 8

This means that there are 8 Quarters in her bag right now. So, the amount of dimes is just 2x which is 16. So your answer will be:

She has 8 Quarters and 16 Dimes in her bag right now. Or, $3.60.

If this doesn't make sense, then tell me. I have some resources where I got the answer from to put it into simplest terms. I have the website if you want.

In a class experiment, Kyle finds that the probability that a student walks to school is 8/25. If the school population is 325,
slavikrds [6]

Answer: 104

Explanation:

Convert the given fraction to decimal form 8/25 = 0.32

Then multiply it with the school population 0.32*325 = 104

We expect about 104 students walk to school

Note how 104/325 = 0.32, so 104/325 = 8/25
