While all these forms of maltreatment of children are more or less visible, the most difficult to identify is emotional abuse. Physical abuse can be easily detectable due to the trauma of abuse on the child's body. Sexual abuse can not always be easily identified because the child feels fear or shame to talk about it. Neglect can be noticed in the fact that the child is withdrawn, and other disorders in the behavior of the child can also occur. As for emotional abuse, there is a difference between emotional disturbance, which parents recognize and accept as a disease of the child to be treated, and do so. However, it often happens, unfortunately, that parents of an emotionally abused child refuse help, and they apply punitive restrictive measures to the child and are not concerned about the welfare of the child.

The answer is: D.

Answer: This is a "CONTROLLED PLACEBO EXPERIMENT".

Explanation: A controlled placebo experiment is a type of research method that is used to check the effectiveness of a drug in a patient. This is done by selecting a sample group, then randomly divide the two group into a placebo group ( this are the group that will receive the drug treatment ) and the controlled group( these are the group that will receive a coloured mixture that looks like the drug, but does not have any effect). Without the groups knowledge about the real drugs and the coloured mixture, but are followed up and tested.

This is a controlled placebo experiment, because 400 student has been choosed as the sample, and are divided into a placebo group and a controlled group, to check the effectiveness of a drug on their memory.

Door-in-the-face

There are two relatively effective techniques to get someone to perform a favor for another. They are door-in-the-face (DITF) and foot-in-the-door techniques. Both techniques significantly increase the chance of a second request being performed. The door-in-the-face technique involves asking for a large favor that's highly likely to be declined. Then afterwards asking for a much smaller favor. In a classic DITF study, some researches took a randomly selected group of people and divided them into 3 groups. For the 1st group, the researchers first asked for volunteers to provide counseling to juvenile delinquents for 2 hours per week, for 2 years. Then after that request was declined, asked for volunteers to chaperone some juvenile delinquents for a day trip to the zoo. The 2nd group was simply asked to perform the day trip, and finally the 3rd group had counseling described to them, and was then asked to provide the chaperoning to the zoo. For the 1st group, 50% agreed to perform the day trip to the zoo, whereas only 17% of the 2nd group agreed to the trip and 25% of the 3rd group agreed.
