The Reign of Terror during the French Revolution started because there was a conflict between the two political parties. The 2 political parties were Girondins and Jacobins and it would take a conflict that arose from growing tensions between residents of Great Britain’s 13 North American colonies and the colonial government, which represented the British crown.
