Let us assume the cost of a soft drink = x dollars
Value of the gift certificate that Angela had = $5
Cost of the movie ticket = $10
Cost of a medium popcorn = $5.50
Then
27.90 + 5 = 2(10) + 2(5.50) + x
32.90 = 20 + 11 + x
32.90 = 31 + x
x = 1.90 dollars

From the above deduction, it can be easily concluded that the correct option among all the options that are given in the question is the first option or $1.90.

Answer:

f=4

Step-by-step explanation:

Priya Tried to solve the equation below step-by-step:

\qquad\begin{aligned} \dfrac f{0.25}&=16\\ \dfrac{f}{0.25} \cdot0.25&=16\cdot0.25&\green{\text{Step } 1}\\  f&=4&\blue{\text{Step } 2}\\\end{aligned}

The steps are correct and indeed f=4.

Zhao Xue wants to buy milk and yogurt. She wants to buy a total of at least 6.5 gallons of dairy products (condition A), and she
Marta_Voda [28]

Answer: The answer is (D). Zhao Xue doesn’t have enough money left to buy any yofurt

Step-by-step explanation:  Given that Zhao Xue is buying buy milk and yogurt, a total of at least 6.5 gallons of dairy products and she has a budget of $20. The given graph represents the constraints on the number of gallons of milk 'M' and yogurt 'Y' Zhao Xue buys. Zhao Xue buys 4 gallons of milk. We need to calculate the number of gallons of yogurt she can buy to meet both her constraints.

From the graph, we can write

Condition A :

M+Y\geq 6.5.

Condition B :

8M+5Y\leq40.

Now, if she buys 4 gallons of milk, the the conditions become

4+Y\geq 6.5~~\Rightarrow Y\geq 2.5,\\\\8\times 4+5Y\leq 40~~\Rightarrow Y\leq 1.6.

Here, there will be no solution to these constraints.

Therefore, she does not have enough money left to buy any yogurt.

Thus, the correct option is (D).

dexar [7]

Answer:

A=(72+36\sqrt{3})\ mm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

see the attached figure with letters to better understand the problem

Let

a ----> the height of rectangle in mm

b ---> the base of rectangle in mm

step 1

Find the base of rectangle

b=AB+BC+CD+DE ----> by segment addition postulate

substitute

b=3+3+3+3=12\ mm

step 2

Find the height of rectangle

a=FB+CG+GH ---> by segment addition postulate

substitute the given values

a=3+CG+3\\a=6+CG

Find the length sides CG

Applying the Pythagorean Theorem

BG^2=BC^2+CG^2

substitute the given values

6^2=3^2+CG^2

CG^2=6^2-3^2

CG=\sqrt{27}\ mm

simplify

CG=3\sqrt{3}\ mm

therefore

a=(6+3\sqrt{3})\ mm

step 3

Find the area of rectangle

A=ab

we have

a=(6+3\sqrt{3})\ mm

b=12\ mm

substitute

A=(6+3\sqrt{3})(12)=(72+36\sqrt{3})\ mm^2
