The Mean would increase to 82.17 or a total increase of .17

You have 99 students and the avg is 82, therefore we can multiply 99*82 to get our total points

99*82=8118
We add a single score of 99 to our total points 8118+99= 8217

Then we add the student to the total number of students bringing it to 100 and divide our new total by the our new number of students.
8217/100 = 82.17

The town of Manchester (population 50,000) has the shape of a rectangle that is 5 miles wide and 7 miles long.
topjm [15]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Population density is expressed as the ratio of the total number of people, N living in or occupying an area or space to the total area or space. Therefore

Population density = number of people/area

A) The town of Manchester (population 50,000) has the shape of a rectangle that is 5 miles wide and 7 miles long. The area would be

5 × 7 = 35 square miles

Population density = 50000/35

= 1429 people/square mile

B) The business area has radius of 1 mile. Its area would be

πr² = 3.14 × 1² = 3.14 square miles.

The area where people reside outside the business area is

35 - 3.14 = 31.86 square miles

Population density = 50000/31.86

= 1569 people per square mile

Don’t get it help me !
photoshop1234 [79]

Answer:

a > 12

Step-by-step explanation:

To ride the go karts you need to be OVER 12 years old. We are going to use < and > because you can't be 12 and younger. The hint is OVER because this essentially means that the variable a HAS to be bigger than 12. Thus is why the ineuality is a > 12.

Best of Luck!

Ralph is 3 times as old as Sara in 4 years Ralph will be twice as old as Sara will be then. Find Ralph’s age now.
Xelga [282]

Answer:

3x+4 Ralph is currently 12 years old.

Step-by-step explanation:

You can find the equation by reading the scenario given. When you read it, it says that Ralph is 3 times as old as Sara and since her current age is going to be used to represent x you will first get 3x. That automatically eliminates the second and third choice given. It then says the equation is for Ralph's age in four years which means to add four to the equation. This gives you 3x+4 as your equation.

When something is tripled and then in a few years it is doubled, it is easiest to first try the number that is being added. So in this case the number is four. When you multiply 4 by 3 you get 12. If Sara is 4 she'll turn eight in four years and if Ralph is 12 he'll turn 16 in four years. 16 divided by 2 is 8 which shows you that Ralph is currently 12
