Let

x-------> the number of persons in the family

f(x)------> the function represent the cost of living

we know that

The domain of the function  would only include positive integers, because the number of persons can not be negative or a fraction

The range of the function would only include positive numbers, because the cost can not be negative

therefore

<u>the answer is the option B</u>

The domain would only include positive integers.

1-104. Solve each equation. Give solutions in both exact and approximate forms. HomeworkHelpa. X2+3x-3=0b. 3x2-7x=12
Alex_Xolod [135]

According to the given question we have the following equations:

a. x2+3x-3=0

b. 3x2-7x=12

a. X2+3x-3=0

The first step to calculate this equation is:

Move the -3 to the other side:

So, the equation would be:

X2+3x=3

x2+3x=5x

Therefore:

5x=3

x=3/5

a. The value of x would be 3/5

b. 3x2-7x=12

First step:

Multyply 3x to 2, so:

3x*2=6x

Next we can proceed to calculate the value of x:

6x-7x=12

-x=12

x=-12

b. The value of x would be -12

3⁄2 c + 23 = 38<br><br> can you help me find out what c is pretty please
kolbaska11 [484]

Answer:

C=10

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve this problem, first, you have to isolate it on one side of the equation. Remember, isolate c on one side of the equation.

3/2c+23-23=38-23 (subtract 23 from both sides.)

38-23 (solve.)

38-23=15

3/2c=15

2*3/2c=15*2 (multiply 2 from both sides.)

15*2 (solve.)

15*2=30

3c=30

3c/3=30/3 (divide by 3 from both sides.)

30/3 (solve.)

30/3=10

c=10
